What We are Harvesting This Week

Lubbock Downtown Market opens June 3rd

We grow several types of squash and zuchinni, tomatoes,
onions, potatoes, peppers, green beans, black-eye peas, cucumbers,  cantaloupe, watermelons, and maybe a few other odds and ends.

We will also have our living micro greens and farm fresh, cage-free eggs.

Now introducing Bob's Homemade Jelly.  Read more below.

What's Coming Off This Week

With the first market looming we are in a race to see how much produce we will have.  It seems the garden is a little slow this year, or maybe I'm just impatient.  The tomatoes are blooming and we have several tomatoes that have set, even a few that are getting to be a decent size.  A few early yellow squash are coming on.  We just can't rush...the garden will be ready when it is ready.

Advantages of Micro Greens

Concentrated Nutrients

Research has shown that micro greens are 4 to 40 times more concentrated with vitamins and nutrients as the same size servings of their mature counterparts. For example red cabbage micros have 40 times more vitamin E and six times more vitamin C than mature cabbage.

A Little Goes a Long Ways

Micro Greens provide a big pop of flavor in a little package. Mix a few in a salad or soup, sprinkle some on top of a burger, or garnish an omelet with couple of pinches and you get a mouthful of flavor.

A Rainbow on Your Plate

With hues of purple, red, yellow, and green micro green make your salads and entrees visually appealing while providing an exhilarat-ing taste and concentrated nutrients.

Living for Freshness

Our micro greens are raised on an organic mat and are living when you purchase them.  You harvest fresh micro greens when you need them.
A quick lunch break from work.
We have several varieties to choose from and are always trying something new.  If you have a request for a specific micro greeen, let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Micro greens are available to resturants year-round.  Contact us for more information.
Eggs
Cage-free chickens laying farm-fresh eggs.

Our chickens have a spacious run providing them plenty of room to roam while protecting them from predators.  Weeds, yes they love weeds, and garden scraps supplement their diet.
In the off season you can still enjoy our farm-fresh eggs. Every Wednesday we make a late afternoon delivery to a drop-off location.  Contact us to get on our delivery list.

During the season you can pick up your eggs the Market.  Be early, they sell out quick.
